I have a 19003/4631 in a Repeater Mini. I added a 1901 humidity/temp sensor and successfully uploaded IDE. I could see it working in the serial monitor. The problem is, once it’s loaded, the green light on the 19003 shuts off. I can’t get any response from either serial or BLE. I double tap RST and the RAK4631:D window pops up. I drag & drop 2.6.11 into that drive, load it and the green light comes backs on and I can connect via BLE but no sensor data.
I am guessing you are talking about Meshtastic firmware?
What did you upload through what IDE?
Meshtastic will detect the sensor without any changes in the firmware. The only thing you need is to enable telemetry and sensors in the Meshtastic application.
The 1901’s Arduino IDE setup process outlined here in the 1901 Quick Guide.
I have enabled via Meshtastic app and not seeing sensor data (currently have no sketch loaded as I had to reflash when 19003 froze to get it running again). Am investigating from Meshtastic end later today. I’m also assuming I might be able to use CLI to see what’s going on sensor-wise.
Checked my bootloader and its the current version (6.1.1). Followed Meshtastic instructions for enabling sensor. “Environment Metrics Log” at bottom of node detail page for the Repeater Mini on Meshtastic app is greyed out. Tried to upload that IDE sketch per the 1901 Quick Guide again and green LED goes away on 19003 and need to tap twice on RST to put it in DFU. Reload 2.6.11 Meshtastic firmware and things start running again. Stumped.
SOLVED: Changed from Repeater mode to Client mode and now can see data on app. Don’t know why, however. Nor do I know why 19003 is shutting down after uploading IDE sketch for that sensor.
