2.4GHz LoRaWAN Node

Hello everyone!

I am thrilled to announce that I have released an open-source code project on GitHub, and I sincerely invite all of you to experience and test it. This project is about 2.4GHz LoRa nodes, and you can find the code at the following address: GitHub - RAKWireless/2.4GHz-LoRa-Node: RAK3183 (apollo3+SX1280) 2.4GHz LoRa wireless module. (TTN LoRaWAN).

2.4GHz LoRa, offers several advantages over Sub-GHz LoRa. Here are some key points to highlight:

  1. Higher Frequency Bandwidth: The 2.4GHz frequency band provides a wider bandwidth compared to Sub-GHz frequencies. This allows for increased data transmission rates and faster communication.
  2. The 2.4GHz band is a globally available and unlicensed frequency.

Hi,

It it possible to order RAK3183?

No, the RAK3183 is not officially launched and we are still working with the prototypes.
There are as well outstanding certifications (FCC, CE, …) to be done before we can launch the module.

Hi all.

Maybe any updates about RAK3183?

And what I can use for gateway? only RAK5148?

Maybe you can recommend some other end devices/gateways for LoRaWAN 2.4?

Still the same

  • no plans to launch RAK3183 officially in the store
  • RAK5184 is the only 2.4GHz concentrator, RAK7391 the only gateway with support for 2.4GHz

I have no idea about competitors products for 2.4GHz
