Hey I’m wondering if anyone has an answer to what would be the best possible antenna to put on the rack wireless one Watt node from Meshtastic / mesh core use In a wooded area For 915 Megahertz US
It all depends on the location a 3-6dbi antena works good for most. Anythingvwith higher gain than 6dbi will cause directional lobes that can cause areas to lose coverage. Higher Gain in an antenna does not always help. The Alpha 5ACM 5.8dbi is a goto antenna! The Rokland 5.8dbi fiberglass is also good!

Yeah the location I thinking about installing a few notes in is more the Mountainy area of Northern Idaho Mountains hills pine trees
That Rockland fiberglass is much bigger I DK why but my brain thinks dense trees mountains the bigger the better but that’s just sort of a gut feeling without knowing much about the science behind it
