Bespoke plate for RAK19016 power module

I have the RAK19016 power module with the RAK19010 base board. I realized that this combo doesn’t fit with the bespoke mounting plate for the 100x75x38mm unify enclosure because the power module collides with the enclosure.

Are there any bespoke plates that would work with this combo, even bigger sizes? Is there any other solution to get this to work?

Welcome to the forum @mdpb

At this time we do not have bespoke plates for the Power Modules.

Only solution is to use a 3D printed mounting plate

Thanks for the quick reply, @beegee !

I just ran into the same issue, but even a new plate will not fix the issue when you want to mount an IO module due lack of space… only a complete new plate for the 150mm enclousre could fix this.

Any plans for the 150mm case to create a new plate?

We have no plans to create new mounting plates.
You can use the blank mounting plate and stand-offs to create any custom deployment of WisBlock modules.

Alright, but this means also additional work at the end.

I will try the STL File from you, which fixed the issue for the DUO IO Base

EDIT (was too fast with my opinion):

I see, only the DUO IO Power Base is not able to use correct on the Plate, the DUO IO PCB fits perfect. So maybe a Revision of the DUO IO Power PCB is just needed.

That was my first thought, but when i put the Power Module in, it all makes sense at the end.

I understand now, why the Power Duo IO Board changed the mounting hole.

Sometimes I have to think more than twice about a Design
No big deal at the end

Maybe you can tell me/have already tried, if the 4th hole is really needed for a good mechanical fit?

If you need the 4th hole depends on the Power module you need.
Like the one you use, the RAK19016 has a battery connector on that side, which means the pins collide with the stand-off of the mounting plate. So you have to cut it off and then the whole Base Board is unstable. You will need the 4th hole.

Thank you for the fast reply! I already suspected it, but I will try another Idea, I found a small spacer with 2.1mm inner diameter (this should work fine for the screw) and 3mm length to fit perfect

I have some tough Loctite 406 with Primer to glue the spacer direct to the plate
If it works, I will reply again here. Could be a easy fix for me (Spacer is under <4cent per piece)
