Can't onboard brand new Rak Hotspot v2

Brand new Helium hotspot v2.

On to the hotspotty app, can discover the hotspot via bluetooth, but when I “select on the hotspot to contiune” botton, it just spins the wheel in the app and nothing.

Do these things actually work?

How do I make it go? have rebooted my phone, bluetooth on my phone works great on everything else, have rebooted the miner.

If I use the Helium wallet app, I can configure wifi, but when I go to onboard it i get “no manufacturer found for this hotspot” error

I have the same problema. Got two new from Rak website and when I try to onboard it says “no manufacturer found for this hotspot“. I sent 3 emails to their support and no answer. I opened ticket and tried contacting them on instagram and they don’t even reply. Did you fix it?

This email don’t even exist.

My v2 miner also says it cannot find its manufacturer and the rak support team is choosing to ignore me.
i spent about 500 dollars(with outdoor antenna kit) for this Joke. Wonderful business model guys! A way to go man!

Any update on a fix? Just received RAK miner v2 and having same exact issues. @beegee

I have the RAK hotspot v2 miner that was purchased from the RAK store. Model RAK7248

Initially when I was trying to onboard the device via the Helium Wallet App, when connecting it to my wifi, and viewing the diagnostics, I noticed that the Payr ID was blank. When tapping continue, it informed me that the manufacturer did not exist. I left the device running for over 24h, restarted it and then went through the process again, the Payr ID had populated and was able to continue and complete the process.

Having the same problem, recieved the rakv2 duel miner 2 weeks ago, got sourceful setuo and onboarded with no issues but cannot get onboarded to helium and getting error “no manufacturer found for this hotspot” on helium wallet, hotspotty, helium app. Also sent a ticket request to rakwireless support 2 weeks ago and another to mntd support and so far no response. Have had the device running for 2 weeks, been attempting to onboard ever few days with no success

Did you get yours fixed? Im having the same issue.

Yeah, finally got it fixed, had to email mntd support with the qr code on the side of the device, took about 3 weeks

Interesting. Do you know what the main issue was?

Im guessing they added in the payr addresses to the device, once that was filled out the device was working.

ugh not what I wanted to hear. I can see the payer address in mine. I think mine was already onboarded. :frowning: according to the explorer it already exists. Ugh.
