Data transmission of RAK5010 using Hologram USIM does not work

I am trying to check the sensor data of RAK 5010 on hologram webpage using hologram USIM.
However, on the hologram web page, although periodically connected, the sensor data of RAK5010 is not available.

The sensor is sent periodically through the following at-command.
The serial response looks like this, but no data seems to be sent. I hope you can give me some advice to solve this problem.

Welcome to RAK forum @YJ86 ,

Can you send me the sequence of AT commands you did with your setup?
Have you tried using the AT command for Hologram?

Dear, carlrowan

at+set_config=hologram:XXX , 1. Can you elaborate on what information XXX refers to in at+send=hologram:user:XXX?

My guess is that LinkID corresponds to user:XXX and deviceID corresponds to hologram:XXX.

I tried the at-command as you said, but it doesn’t work. Please check the picture below.

Hi @YJ86 ,

You need to use Device Key and not Device ID on the AT command at+set_config=hologram:

You can generate and view the key under Webhooks in Hologram dashboard.

Also at+send commands are sending payload. No need to put LINK ID. Please check the documentation here - RAK5010-M AT Command Manual | RAKwireless Documentation Center

You can view the data sent under all activity section in the lower left task bar of the Hologram Dashboard.

Here’s the command on sending.

Dear, carlrowan

Thanks for the kind explanation. However, another problem arose while testing. In the first question, I connected to the “KT hologram” network, but it seems that there is a problem because it is not connected to “KT hologram”. Below is the at-commands and the corresponding responses. I’m sorry, but I would appreciate it if you could suggest a solution.

Can you check what FW version you have with at+version?

Also, can you try to scan the network available using at+scan=cellular?

Few things to check:

  1. LEDs on board must be on.
  2. Antenna is properly connected.
  3. Your device should have Li-Ion or Li-Po battery as powersource and not just the USB from PC.

Thank you very much for your reply.

As you said, I connected the antenna and the battery (3.7V), and check the LED blinking.

But the value is not received in the hologram- activity page. At what point did I go wrong?

Also I registered the device key as well. Below is the result of entering the at-command.

I also attach the result image when running at+version and at+scan=cellular.

Hi @YJ86 ,

Looking at the result of at+scan=cellular, I saw all available network as LTE CAT-M1 (the last parameter which is number 8).

If you will look at Hologram coverage below, LTE CAT-M1 is only supported in USA. It seems you are in Korea so you need EGPRS service from your local telco which seems not available.

If you’ll our documentation,

You’ll find out that RAK5010 supports three cellular technologies: EGPRS, LTE CAT-M1 and NB-IoT.

Your chance to make it work is use a LTE CAT-M1 sim card provided by your local telco instead of hologram.

Thank you very much. I’ll have to ask the local tele company how to do it.
