IMPORTANT
Gateways from the WisGate Edge Pro Series RAK7289V2/CV2 manufactured from February 2026 onward include an updated power board with Smart Power Switch functionality, introduced to improve power stability and recovery behavior in edge power conditions - PCN20260212001.
For optimal operation with this hardware revision, WisGateOS2 version 2.2.15 or later is recommended.
Gateways running older firmware versions may experience periodic system restarts (approximately every 10 minutes) due to differences in power management handling.
Recommendation:
Upgrade the gateway firmware to WisGateOS2 ≥ 2.2.15 before deployment.
Hardware identification
The serial number on the label can be used to distinguish between the two power board revisions:
