Link.ONE used as basic IO controller

Hi guys,
I’m new to the RAK products.

We selected the Link.ONE as a controller for an IoT solution we are putting together for a client.
We are planning to use LoraWAN or NB-IoT as communication. The module is pre installed and seems to have great support for setup and comms with AWS. Great!

We will need to control a water ball valve actuator and read data from a flow meter.

I see the Base board RAK19010 has 2 sensors slots available, the core slot is already used by the Cellular module.

What is the best way to have a pin out to achieve the IO we require?
I see the headers have two IO pins, probably not enough.

Can I plug a module to expand?

Sorry for such a basic question.
Thank you!

Welcome to RAK forum @JakeCFS ,

There are other IO pins that you can use as digital output for water valve control - TX0, RX0, SDA, SCL, AN1 and IO2. But of course, it depends if these pins will be used by other peripherals/modules.

IO1 is used by the cellular module though.
