Has anyone had negative results using 18650’s to power your WisBlock? I see LiPo listed in a lot of places but the maximum voltage and other voltages I see in the documentation lead me to believe that a common 18650 Li-Ion battery will work just fine.

!8650 are suitable for WisBlock. I have my WisBlock frontyard motion detector powered with 18650 and solar panel to recharge during the day. Worked for several weeks, until the monsoon came and I had not enough solar energy to recharge. But still works fine after recharging over USB.
