Login to TTN Gateway

Hello,
I bought the LoRaWAN Starter kit RAK831 with Raspberry Pi. It came assembled. I connected it to Ethernet and then to power. It boots fine and I get the following prompt:
Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 ttn-gateway tty1
ttn-gateway login:

I went through the documentation I have and have seen any username and password specified for this gateway. I have the following questions:

  1. Do I still have to configure the kit as per the documentation?
  2. If not, what are the username and password for the ttn-gateway?

Thanks in advance.

Pierre

Hi @lekallalek,

I am assuming the default pi, raspberry set of credentials are not working ?

Vladislav

Hello Vladislav,
If ttn-gateway is the alias for the raspberry pi login ,then yes the default credentials are not working.

I used, root, root as credentials and that did not work.

Kind regards,
Pierre

Hi @lekallalek,

Is it possible to send a screenshot of the log in window.

Hi @lekallalek

It seems that the firmware you are using is very old.
Please use the latest firmware:
https://downloads.rakwireless.com/en/LoRa/RAK831-Pilot-Gateway/Firmware/
and use it according to this document:

Hello Fomi and Vladislav,

I appreciate your support concerning this issue.

Yes, I was a firmware issue. I updated the firmware and went through the steps of the document. The gateway is working fine and connects to the Things Network.

Kind regards,

Pierre
