does rak7249 have built in mqtt client ? this can help in taking the packets from semtech forwarder and publish to an external broker ?

Yes there is a MQTT bridge built in. I the Lora Gateway tab, the packet forwarder submenu.
There you will find a drop down menu to switch modes to the mqtt bridge. After doing so got to the next submenu, below the one you are in to configure the bridge.
Page 10, figure 9 shows the first thing to set, page 13 explains about the mqtt bridge itself.
