Passing a car on a solar panel

I’m planning to use a small solar panel (80x45x2mm) to power a RAK19007 board from RAKwireless. The setup will be enclosed in a box, and I’m concerned about the durability of the solar panel, especially since the box might occasionally have a car pass over it.

Good afternoon,

It is important to pay attention the the solar panel connection in the RAK19007 was design for 5V

Regards,

Claudio

I’m sorry I didn’t specified that part, I also thinking of using the solar panel provided by Rak, so voltage problems will not be a thing, I think

To make it simple, a solar panel is a fragile piece of multiple materials that are put together.
If you drive with a car over it there is a high chance that it just breaks.

I never tried it and I will never try it. The panels are not designed for such a usage.
