Is it possible to use RAK2287 in a RAK7249 Gateway (RAK4240 V1.0 Board)?
The old RAK833/RAK2247 board has failed, and its not in stock.

No, these two are not compatible.
RAK2247 uses SX1301, and RAK2287 uses SX1302 baseband processor.
Unfortunately, RAK2247 is an EOL product, and we will not have more in stock.
You can connect to [email protected] to try and debug what is going on with your concentrator.

The problem with the concentrator is this broken chip.
I cant seem to find out what type of chip this is.
Wort a shot to try replace the chip🤷♂️
