Powered Icon on Meshtatsic device and what turns it on?

Hi

I’d like to know what turns on the POWERED ICON in Meshtastic clients. When I plug the 19007/4631 in to USB it activates the Icon. Should it also activate if the Solar Panel is producing power or alternatively if I am getting power from VCC via the POE adaptor?

Also how intelligent is the battery charging chip. Does the battery need to drop to a certain level before it starts charging it or does just charge when power is available to charge the batteries.

Looking at the circuit diagram it seems that considering VBUS, GREEN_POWER and VCC are all connected to VBUS_D I would have thought it should light by any of them supplying power unless I am reading it wrong.

We are not developing the Meshtastic firmware.
Please ask Meshtastic about this.

There are separate functions that detect whether USB charging is active (nRF52840 function). It might be that they use that, but I can’t answer it.
