Question about using the 1W Booster Kit on the RAK19001 Dual IO base

Hello all, does anyone know if it’s possible to swap the RAK3401 Core and RAK13302 1W LoRa Booster over to the RAK19001 Dual IO Base board? I’d like to build a Meshtastic node that has the 1 Watt power and PoE Ethernet (RAK13800/RAK19018), but it appears that nothing is detected in the second IO slot.

Seeing as the 1W Booster Kit is pretty new, will dual IO be supported with the RAK3401 Core in the future? Or, is there a different Core or Base I should be using to get dual IO slots?

Thanks!

It is not a problem of the 1W transceiver or the RAK19001 Base Board.

Both the 1W transceiver and the Ethernet module are using the same SPI port. And there is a conflict in the used GPIO’s as well.

They cannot be used together.

RAK13300 is using the same interface as RAK13302:

Ah, okay. I’m still pretty new with the WisBlock ecosystem and hadn’t seen that tool yet.

I’m guessing the conflicting SPI and GPIO is a physical design choice and can’t be easily changed, and there’s probably no plans at this time to make a compatible RAK13800?

No plans at the moment as it would require to redesign either the modules or the Base Board.
