RAK 10701 Plus not showing uplink stats like RSSI, SNR and others

Hi,
I have bought RAK-10701-Plus field tester and set it up with milesight gateway and chirpstack network server and also integrated datacake with chirpstack but when i send downlink from datacake to the tester device, it is not showing me uplink stats like RSSI, SNR, Packet Loss Rate, Max Distance, Min Distance and what should be the exact downlink packet format for this.

Hi @testsingh

The RAK10701-Plus requires the Field Data processor running on WisGate Edge gateway so you can capture uplink data as well as packetloss calculation. It also allows you to generate report of testing with site customizable labels.

Does it mean to use the RAK10701-Plus field tester we will have to buy the RAK supported wis gateways only.

Yes. That’s correct.

Without the extension running, it will still work but in lincheck mode - downlink parameters and number of gateways only.

If RAK10701-Plus field tester has such limitation that it will work with RAK supported gateway only with full capability then it must be informed to the buyer before buying otherwise this is not of any use to me.

Please suggest me some way, i can use it without RAK gateway, currently i have milesight UG67 gateway.

Hi @testsingh ,

There is no work around on it at the moment.

Please note that you only need one RAK gateway to run the extension. For example, in your deployment you have 10 milesight gateways, once you register the filed tester to the extension, it will be able to map the whole network including where the other brand gateways are deployed.
