RAK 7243 Can no longer SSH in Wi-Fi AP Mode

Issue: I cannot find my RAK7243 in my computer’s Wi-Fi list, after disabling AP Mode from the gateway configuration options and entering an inccorect SSID and pwd for Client. Note that I never connected an SD card and so do not have an image on the device.

Setup:

Server:

Details:After opening the package, I connected the antennae and power cord and then connected to the RAK Gateway from SSH on my computer. I never connected any SD card to the RAK and was fiddling around with the wifi settings by following the instructions on this page: https://doc.rakwireless.com/rak7243-lorawan-developer-gateway/accessing-the-internet.
After disabling AP Mode in the Wi-Fi configuration menu, I added a new SSID for client and then rebooted. From there, I was never able to connect to the RAK again.

HELP

I’m not 100% sure about the “I never connected any SD card to the RAK” bit, but if I take the first section at face value, WiFi not setup correctly, here’s how to start over:

https://doc.rakwireless.com/rak7243-lorawan-developer-gateway/accessing-the-internet#reverting-to-wi-fi-ap-mode

The instructions are a little misleading as there isn’t any command to type, what you need to do is create a file called rak_ap - easiest way is to duplicate one of the smaller files and rename it, ensuring you remove any file extension. If you are on macOS or Linux you can navigate to the boot volume and just use touch rak_ap.

I’ve not tried this function personally, so please let us know how you get on.
