RAK 8213 mPCIE replacement for RAK7391

Hello, I’m interested in using the RAK7391 with a cellular network to allow me to connect to the gateway remotely when I need to and publish some data.

I’ve noticed that the standard cellular WisLink mPCIe module (RAK 8213) seems to have reached its EOL as mentioned on RAK8213’s Q/A section stating it has been replaced by the RAK5010 which doesn’t seem like it will integrate with the RAK7391. Are there any other mPCIe options that are easily integrated? Any off the shelf alternative options such as https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/quectel/BG96MA-MINIPCIE/13278242?

What is the suggested/supported method of getting RAK7391 connected to a cellular network?

Thanks for your help!

Hi @geanner
The BG96 version is EOL and we now recommend using the EG95 version instead with the RAK7391 (AHPI7292S WiFi HaLow Pi Hat - Wireless modules for the WisGate Connect).
