RAK10701-P Stuck on "Joining" – Firmware v1.1.2

Product Name: RAK10701-P Field Tester for LoRaWAN Pro

Firmware Version: 1.1.2

Computer OS: macOS (for configuration/monitoring)

Problem Description

My RAK10701-P is failing to join the network and remains stuck on the “Joining” screen. While the device previously worked, it has recently stopped connecting.

I am attempting to connect the tester locally to a RAK7249 WisGate Edge Max. I have access to the gateway’s web management interface, but do not see successful join requests in the traffic logs.

Welcome back to RAK forum @yass ,

Common reason why joining is not successful are mismatch regional band or subchannels not configured correctly (for US915/AU915) and OTAA parameters mismatched - you can doublecheck the DEVEUI, APPEUI and APPKEY on the LNS.

If frequency is ok on the logs and OTAA parameters are correct. Maybe there are issue related to nonce. Maybe you can share the logs on the LNS.

Thanks for the follow-up @carlrowan ,

I have verified that the DevEUI, AppEUI, and AppKey match exactly between the RAK10701-P and the RAK7249 WisGate Edge Max (internal LNS).

To confirm the device’s state during the failure, I ran manual AT commands via WisToolBox:

Command: AT+JOIN=1:0:10:8
Response: AT_BUSY_ERROR (confirming a join procedure is currently active).
Status Check: AT+NJS=? returns 0 (Join failed/Timeout).

I have the LNS Logs (System logs from the RAK7249) ready. Since these contain sensitive network information, is it possible to share them with you privately? Please let me know the best way to send these files so you can check.
