I have a wisblock powered by poe. I use the RAK13800 plus poe daughter board.
The poe switch shows power connection but no activity. The ethernet board shows no lights. POE is working as the wisblock meshtastic board powers up and works.
Just no ethernet connection. Any suggestion?
What product do you wish to discuss? RAK4631, RAK13800
What firmware are you using? (Meshtastic 2.5.18)
What firmware version? Can it be obtained with AT+VER=?
How often does the problem happen? ongoing
How can we replicate the problem? ??

Welcome to RAK forum @TonyA1960 .
Did you use the specific FW for ethernet support firmware-rak4631_eth_gw-w.x.yy.zzzzzzz.uf2
?
To isolate the issue with Meshtastic, you can run a bare code just pinging google. You can follow the guide on the quick start guide of RAK13800 here - https://docs.rakwireless.com/Product-Categories/WisBlock/RAK13800/Quickstart/#software-configuration-and-example

The RAK13800 is supported by the “standard” Meshtastic firmware already, but you have to enable it in the Meshtastic Mobile App: Enable Ethernet
The firmware that Carl mentioned adds MQTT support with JSON output to the “standard” Meshtastic firmware.

Hi Bernd,
Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem by connecting directly to my router.
Seems the board did not like my poe enabled switch or the network switch I tried.
So will now need to find an acceptable poe switch to continue using poe
Kind regards.

This one works fine for me. I use it with our RAK13800 and our WisGate Edge gateways:
tp-link TL-SG1005LP 5-Port Gigabit Desktop PoE Switch with 4-Port PoE+
