Rak3172-t not joining

hello

we are using rak3172 with ipex connector on one of our project. in the new production we decided to switch to rak3172-T with IPEX. they have rui 4.0.5 built in. band is US915. i am able to connect it using AT+JOIN.
but i am unable to connect it with built in Arduino example LoraWAN_OTAA.
changed the band, deveui, appkey and appeui accordingly. arduino is running 4.0.5 board package.
can anyone point me in the direction what i am missing.

Are you using the module with AT commands or with a custom firmware?
If you are using it with a custom firmware, make sure you changed the board in ArduinoIDE to the correct board:
