RAK4630 hardware design

That’s good news.
Thank you for sharing.

Just curious: why is this mode necessary for the “standard” RAK4630/RAK4631?

It was designed like this because you can have a slightly lower power consumption.
After ~4 years selling RAK4631 Core modules and RAK4630 stamp modules, we can see it might have been not the best idea.

@beegee sorry for topic revival, but just discovered something using RAK4630 with latest sidewalk (may be older) , you can take a look at this one
results are about 75uA difference in sleep mode. I’ll continue to investigate
@carlrowan FYI

Hi @Charles ,

I saw about your inquiry on L10 on another thread.

We have devices that do not have L10 on RAK4630 - Sensorhub and WisBlock IAQ device.

I asked our hardware engineer about it before and there should be no effect on power consumption but on stability. We haven’t done much comparison with L10 populated or not in Normal Voltage mode, but in specs of Nordic, it must not be there if operating in Normal Votlage mode.

It works on your setup before to have a very low current even with L10 so unlikely it is the cause.
