RAK4630 module connections

Please include the following information, in order for us to help you as effectively as possible.

  • What product do you wish to discuss? RAK4631

  • What firmware are you using? RUI3

  • What firmware version? Can it be obtained with AT+VER=? N/A

  • Computer OS? Linux L4T

This is a systems integration question for the actual RAK4630 module (not a wisblock)

Q1. Is the SPI Flash an option or is it required in order to flash the module with its firmware
Q2. which flash is recommended if we decide to include in design

The external flash on the RAK4631 was only an option and never used in production. The firmware is flashed to the internal memory, external flash is not required.
