When using the Meshtastic web flasher, I get through the steps to start to flash but when I drop the file on the drive, it tries to flash but then tells me the drive no longer exists. Same happens when I simply manually place the device in dfu mode and drop the file from downloads to it. Maddening.

If you are using Windows, this message can appear and it is not valid. It is caused by a timing problem between the USB drivers and Windows (I guess).
I see that quite often when I use UF2 files, but the firmware is still flashed successfully.
Your are so right. I tried a couple of different UF2 files and they all loaded successfully. Thanks much.
