RAK5205 BreakBoard software version: 1.1.16 r120

Hi,

I have received my new RAK5205 tracker with its solar enclosure.

The tracker says the it is running “RAK5205 BreakBoard software version: 1.1.16 r120”

What is this firmware? Where is the source code?
The github repository says that the latest firmware is 2.x.0.6.

Is the 1.1.16 r120 a new branch or an old version? Should I upgrade the firmware?

Yes, you should update the firmware to the latest from github. You can find the procedure here RAK5205 User manual .

RAK5205 - Invalid LPP GPS payload

Hi, I am using 2.0.0.6 firmware. The RAK5205 is registered in TheThingsNetwork I have setup my TTN application to decode the payload as LPP payload. All the data sent by the RAK5205 are correctly decoded by TTN application excepted the GPS data. After looking at the data, the data frame is too long compared to what is specified by LPP format. By looking at the source code, I can see that you have added the speed at the end of the frame but it is not inline with the LPP format thus TTN is n…
