RAK5804 CONTROL POWER SUPPLY

Hi Beegee,

I hope you’re well and I’m always grateful for the support you offer.

We’re using the RAK5804 for serial communication with a low-cost ultrasonic sensor, and as you may know, this type of sensor consumes a lot of power. This module works for this sensor, but we noticed that the current can’t be controlled because it’s connected to PIN 5. Would it be a good idea to invert the resistors and connect resistor 0 to PIN 6?

Or do you have another option that I haven’t seen in your interface catalog?

Two options:

  1. Switching the resistors is the fastest way if you have the RAK5804 already.
  2. Using RAK13002 IO module, which has a controlled 3.3V supply (through WB_IO2) and exposes all IO’s, I2C, UART and SPI on pin headers.
