i have Experience for this, but not in rak7249, which in rak7243. Both use same quectel BG96 module. My region is SINGAPORE. Final solution don’t use SIM card which have been used in other device, since once connect success at first time, telecom operator will auto bundle SIM card with hardware like mobile phone, so you can’t use this on another device. Then I purchase one pre pay SIM card , then it is work!

I down-graded to firmware r193 with all default settings.
RAK7249 LTE can auto-connect to Telstra.

Is your sim card any special? please also try telstra.m2m.

Thanks for the assistance Paul, my sim card is a Boost Mobile, which is on the telstra network. I have contacted them and they assure me that it should work and to try both telstra.wap or telstra.internet. I’m attempting to use the telstra.m2m, no luck so far…
I assume it should connect as soon as I make a change/Save & Apply?
Mix info regarding Boost Mobile APN on the web… you may need to have a try.
I normally save&apply and reboot to make sure…
Ok, I’m all sorted, have it running well now. my location had 3G, but not 4g. Relocated into an urban area to test and it worked perfectly. Apologies for the stuff around.The apn was correct at telstra.wap
