Hello,
I have a RAK7268CV2 (WisGate Edge Lite 2, LTE variant) that fails to boot properly.
Device details:
- Model: RAK7268CV2, LTE variant
- Serial number: 918100RPL050600292
- Firmware: WisGateOS_2.2.13_RAK
Symptoms:
- The hardware reset button does not respond at all (no LED change, no factory reset triggered), even after holding it for 30+ seconds.
- The gateway is not reachable via WiFi AP or Ethernet.
- I connected to the USB console port (CH340 adapter, 57600-8-N-1) and can see the U-Boot boot log.
- When the bootloader attempts “Boot system code via Flash” (menu option 3), it reports:
Verifying Checksum ... Bad Data CRC
This suggests the firmware/kernel image stored in flash is corrupted, which would also explain why the reset button doesn’t respond (it’s handled by the OS, which never boots).
Could you please help me with:
- Confirming this diagnosis.
- The correct firmware image (matching WisGateOS_2.2.13_RAK or later) for recovery on this specific serial/model.
- Exact U-Boot commands/steps to reflash via TFTP, USB storage, or serial (options 2/5/7 in the boot menu) for this specific model, so I don’t risk permanently bricking the device.
Thank you for your help.
