RAK7268V2 Connection Issue

I have recently run into an issue with a customer gateway. It was connected and working for a week, and all of a sudden it quit randomly and there is no indication why. The customer claims no changes were made to the network, and they tried power cycling the gateway a few times and got the breathing light to stay blue (which would indicate connection and continued operation) however it still was not forwarding data over to our LNS. Now the light is blinking red, indicating a problem, and the repeated error I am seeing in the logs is the following: Wed May 8 21:24:41 2024 user.err lora_pkt_fwd[7298]: ERROR: [up] received packet with unknown status 0x00.

Has anyone encountered this before and is there a fix or is this a network problem that my client needs to figure out?
