Hi. I was searching about the RAK full-duplex gateways and I found the RAK7285C.
However, I would like confirmation, or a test result, showing that full-duplex actually works. I intend to use it with AU915 and either 8 or 16 channels.
RAK officially documents RAK7285C as a full duplex gateway - RAK7285 WisGate Edge Ultra
The product overview and datasheet state support for up to 8 LoRa channels in full duplex, and the datasheet also lists the AU915 diplexer parameters - RX 915~920 MHz, TX 923~928 MHz, with 80 dB RX/TX isolation - RAK7285 / RAK7285C WisGate Edge Ultra
For 16-channel operation, this depends on the 16-channel hardware configuration. The datasheet indicates that LoRa module 2 is optional and that the 16-channel gateway uses two LoRa antenna connectors. WisGateOS 2 v2.2.14 also states that Basics Station fully supports 16-channel gateway configurations - WisGateOS 2 v2.2.14 | Basics Station & Failover Updates
For gateway side verification, please check the web UI Dashboard > LoRa Statistics. When the setup is correct, the channel usage chart should show 16 channels. If the connected LNS uses an 8-channel frequency plan, the gateway will operate with 8 channels only.
If you want formal proof material such as a validation or test document, please contact our support team at [email protected] and request the relevant verification material for your AU915 deployment.
Actually, I deployed 16-channel operation (0 to 15) and it is working really well.
For me, the full-duplex is more important than 16ch because I can choose the number of channels in this operation. Then, I really want formal proof about the full-duplex.
