RAK7289CV2 not connecting to TTN

I am trying to connect RAK7289V2 to TTN but it always shows disconnected on TTN. I am following the instructions found in RAK7289V2/RAK7289CV2 Supported LoRa Network Servers. The firmware version on the gateway is WisGateOS_2.2.2_RAK. After several times of following the instructions and doing a factory reset on the gateway I get the same results which is “Disconnected” on TTN.

Also, the only variation from the instruction is that I am using server nam1.cloud.thethings.network because I am in the United States and I am using 915 MHz frequency band.

Any advice?

Good afternoon,

Could you provide de gateway configuration? You should hide the Gateway EUI.

It can be a lot of easy things to fix. Could you do a double-check in following points?

  1. Gateway EUI in both sides, gateway in TTN server must be the same.
  2. The frequency plan must to be same in both side, gateway and TTN server, I am freq. and
    sub-band

Take a look in one of gateway that my company has in Brazil at TTN: frequency plan AU915-928 sub-band 1. In Brazil we have 8 sub-bands, from 1 to 8.

I did check the EUI on both TTN and the gateway and they are both the same.

I chose US_902_928_FSB_1 frequency plan on TTN and it is 915 MHz FREQUENCY BAND on the gateway.

The server address on TTN is nam1.cloud.thethings.network and the address on the gateway is wss://nam1.cloud.thethings.network. I have tried it with “ws://” and “wss://” and without but no success.

Here is a portion of what I am getting in the system log from the gateway:

It seems that you are using in the gateway side, basic station the server URI address is wrong: nam1.cloud.thethings.network:8887

It must be of yours TTN locations, for example, my gateways are connected in the https://eu1.cloud.thethings.network (Europe address).

I am now connected.

I setup the WiFi on the gateway. So now the gateway has access to the internet. So I am now at least connected.

Thank you so much for your time and response!!

Have a good day, enjoy
