RAK7391 - Is mSATA supported on mPCIe #3

Hi,
I’ve been trying to get an mSATA ssd working on mPCIe #3 slot, but have not been successful. The data sheet indicates that SATA (via PCIe) is supported as a Secondary Use.

Has anyone been successful in installing and mSATA SSD using the mPCIe slot?

Regards
Greg

Update:
Looks like although the mSATA and mPCIe share the same interface, they are not comparable formats.

Hi, mSATA is not supported on the RAK7391. RAK7391 lacks a SATA driver so there is no direct SATA support.

Instead, you can use an mPCIe to SATA board on either the mPCIE#3 (IOCrest mini PCIe dual SATA card (ASM1061 chipset) | Raspberry Pi PCIe Devices) or the M.2 slots (IOCrest M.2 to 5 Ports SATA with JMB585 | Raspberry Pi PCIe Devices).

Thanks for your response.
I have an adapter board on order and will give that a try when it arrives.

Kind Regards
