RAK811 LPWAN Evaluation Board with Arduino UNO problem

Hi

I just bought the RAK811 LPWAN Evaluation Board. I already upgraded the firware successfully. I cannot connect it as Arduino UNO shield directly. I made it work both boards separately like the following figure. Note that I changed the baud rate of the RAK811 LPWAN Evaluation Board to be 9600 bps instead of default one – 115200 bps (got some messages), it works well. I can see the data sent from the arduino uno board to the TTN (The Thing Network).

However, the RAK811 LPWAN Evaluation Board should work as a shield, right? That is a reason that I bought this board.

From the link (https://www.hackster.io/antal-attila/rak811-wisnode-lora-as-shield-637f41), there are shorts between two sets of serial pins.

I have searched and found the document from the following link. https://github.com/RAKWireless/WisNode-Arduino-Library/blob/master/WisNodeV1.2%20Arduino%20Library/WisNodeV1.2-LoRa-Arduino%20Library%20Use%20Guide.pdf

It shows that the R8, R11, R12, R13 should be removed out in order to directly connect with the Arduino UNO board as shown in the following figure from the above document link.

I just want to make sure that should I remove such resistors (R8, R11, R12, R13). Right? in order to directly connect both boards together and work without hardware problem. This is because the resistors will be removed quite permanently. It is not easy to work like jumpers. Please let me know. if yes, I will remove them. Please update your official document here as well https://doc.rakwireless.com/rak811-lora-evaluation-board/arduino-connection-guides

Dear,

Sorry to reply later,

in order to directly connect both boards together and work without hardware problem.

You are right.

Best regards!
