Recommendation for antenna

Hello,

I just received my first RAK starter kit. This is the Amazon Sidewalk starter kit paired with a Unify Solar Enclosure (100x75x38 mm).

As part of the Amazon starter kit, I received LoRa & BLE PCB antennas - RAKARB03 and BLE antenna part number uncertain but looks similar to the LoRa antenna. As part of the enclosure, the Bespoke Base Plate has built in antenna for both LoRa & BLE.

I did find a datasheet for the LoRa PCB antenna at RAK_PCB_Antenna_for_LoRa_902-928_MHz_(RAKARB03)_Datasheet.pdf I am unable to find a datasheet that details the Bespoke Base Plate’s antenna.

Does anyone have experience which would be more effective for LoRa?

Thanks in advance

The mounting plate with built-in antenna has a gain of ~1.5dBi, the PCB antenna has only 0.8dBi.
The overall performance of the built-in antenna is better than the PCB antenna.

I attached the datasheet for the built-in antenna for comparison here.
