What is the SD card used for, and what is its functionality.

What is the model of the gateway?
I mean is that WisGateEdge or WisGate developer?
In the WisGateEdge series, the SD card is used for storing the log files and also the Buit in data. It should not be a problem, just power off the gateway and insert the SD card back. If the card is corrupted you will need to format it and re-insert it in the gateway.
