Solved! Battery will not power the board

Well I feel foolish. It seems they are working on the battery. I had mistaken the “charging” LED, which is always illuminated on USB power, for the “operating” indication. I had built and tested them on USB for weeks and got so used to seeing the LED that when it switched off I thought it had failed but I think we are good.

I’ve checked the polarity, I need some additional advice on this. Has anyone used this battery brand before? When plugging it in with the switch to Recharge, there is no activity until I press reset, then I get two green flashes on the LED and then nothing. The switch set to no charge does not show any activity nor lights. I charged this battery overnight and the charger showed it was charged on the morning. It works great on USB. Thank you for your help!
