I was playing around with the wisblock system and am quite happy with it. I was disappointed with the display offerings so i looked around and ordered a couple of different oled displays. I was wondering if any of you are interested in me selling a couple of them just let me know…
This one sits on top of the core module so you don’t lose a full size sensor slot. has optional hall sensors to activate button presses with a magnet through a closed enclosure.
Feedback from our legal team:
You are not allowed to use the WisBlock logo on the PCB. People may be confused whether a PCB with ‘WisBlock’ is a RAK product or someone fake it.
You can use phrases like “Built with WisBlock, Powered by WisBlock. Compatible with WisBlock” as text, but not the logo itself.
um i OK i will try and see if i can remove them (i have the pcb already made) by covering the logo or something, although i think your legal team needs to have a look at the github link, i appreciate it being opensource but in every example of the pcb you have the wisblock logo and its released under the MIT license. maybe remove it or change it to say “Built with WisBlock, Powered by WisBlock. Compatible with WisBlock”
there are more things i would like to show like how with every board you give a lbr file that contains the logo as well but it only allows me to show one image.
an other question would be you opensource 2 designs can i then take it an manufacture them as is? not that i want to but you still have the logo on the board.
to sum it all up its a little confusing and i am happy i asked.
