Wismesh Pocket v2 GPS no sats

Just picked up a wishmesh pocket v2. On latest stable firmware. (Tried alpha as well but went back to beta stable) But I have not seen it able to lock GPS yet for a full day of which a couple hours was outside in direct sight to sky. All default settings. Long/fast. Fresh flash.

I can see my other node (Heltec t114v2) on map. And it seems the wis is showing on map back home yet when select it from nodes list and check node map (I’m at work now) like it’s not updating position very quickly. I set position to 30m and 5 mins for now. (May drop to 30 sec and test). And I’ve dropped primary channel position setting to lowest distance.

I have not opened it to check hardware yet but that’s next tonight after work.

Any ideas why OLED always showing “no sats”?

If the OLED says “no sats” for along time even on open sky and fresh FW, it can be a hardware related issue. Nonetheless, you can still try to:

  1. Clean the flash by using the Meshtastic Erase Flash FW then reupload latest beta.
  2. Check serial monitor if GPS module is actually detected.
