I bought a RAK5860. What is the most common way to send data? mqtt, http, tcp, udp or coap. what is even supported? what is the most efficient?

I am not using the RAK5860 here in my country since we have no NB-IoT and LTE-M but to provide some insights to your questions.

  1. MQTT is the common way these days when it comes to IoT devices.
  2. All protocols you mentioned are supported. You can check full documentations on the BG77 Quectel docs page.
  3. In my opinion, COAP and MQTT should be the efficient standard IoT protocols. There are dedicated documentation for both protocol on the link I shared above.
