No echo after firmare upgrade rak5205/rak7205, no connection with stm32 cube programmer

Hi all,

I tried to upgrade my rak5205/rak7205 with the recent firmware RUI_RAK5205_V3.0.0.12.H.T1(EU868-US915-AU915-KR920-IN865) with the RAK Upgrade Tool

but now I get no echo any more with the RAK_SERIAL_PORT_TOOL_V1.2.1 and even cannot do a full chip erase the the STM32CubeProgrammer or upgrade the BIOS to RUI_RAK5205_BOOT_Version3_0_2

I followed tutorials like

I also found a few similar questions/errors in the last weeks here in the forum and followed the suggestion, without success, like:

Are you trying this from a desktop computer or notebook? I had this issue and found the cause was the laptop.

Thank you Lloyd,

till now I tried it with two Acer Laptops (one Linux, one Windows 10) and a Windows 10 Zotac Desktop, but I will try it with another Desktop PC next week … it’s annoying. The reading went sometimes also a little bit further but then also break again …

Kind regards
Christof
