Hello there,

I just saw a Step-by-Step FUOTA demo for the RAK3172 on YouTube and found it very interesting.

I am currently evaluating whether this feature could fit my application. I have several devices operating in Class A, and I would like to know if the gateway can dynamically switch them to Class C for firmware updates, and how this process is typically handled.

Additionally, do you have any information regarding the release date of the RAK3172-F version (ideally with a TCXO)?

The FUOTA demo is still on beta and not yet for production use.

When the FUOTA session starts, it will force the module to switch from class A to class C and it is handled automatically. You do not need to force your device switch classes. It will also go back to class A on its own.

No time on launch date at the moment. It has TCXO.
