RAK3172 Reset to Factory Defaults

I was trying to set the baud rate to 115.2kbps, but I accidentally set the baud rate to something like 115bps. At least that is what I measured looking at the bit time during the power-on boot message.

I have tried using CoolTerm custom baud rate to communicate, but no luck. I was going to re-flash it, but the tool doesn’t work for this baud rate.

Any ideas before I scrap the board?

Thanks,
Russ

If you have a JLink or a DAPlink adapter, you could do a chip erase (deletes your factory credentials as well !!! ) and then flash a new RUI3 firmware.

Thank you for your reply. Since the part was “in circuit”, it was just easier to remove and replace it. It only took 10 minutes.

And I have learned from a mistake that I will not make again!

Thanks “Beegee” for all the content you put onto this forum. Very helpful!
