RAK3272S - I2C Use

HI, I’m very new in all of these. I’, actually developing a custom board for my mechatronics degree and I already designed the board using the RAK3172, but I changue my mind and I want to use the RAK3272S for easy install in the board.
My question is, using the RAK3272S still need the resistors (4.7k ohms) in I2C to use that pins? I already read the guide for the design in KiCAD, but I don’t know if apply in the RAK3272S. I think that yes, but for me is better ask!

Additionally, I want to know if thew RAKDAP1 is enough for flash my own firmware on the board?

Thx for the answers!

Welcome to RAK forum @FabioTiz ,

To answers your questions:

  1. Yes. You need the pull-up 4.7k resistors on the I2C pins.
  2. You can use RAKDAP1 but without it, you can still use any USB-UART converter and connect to UART2 to upload your custom firmware.

Thx a lot!
I have a several questions about my PCB designs and layouts, Can you take a look on them and advice me? Please.

Yes @FabioTiz ,

I am looking at the schematic and layout now. I will reply on the email support.
