STM32WL versions used in RAK3172(LP)-SiP

Hi,
I made a prototype using RAK3172-SiP, and it turns-out that the STM32WL inside is a “Version Z” i.e. an old/early cut of the chip (~mid 2021).
This older version doesn’t handle “long RF packets”, this is a show-stopper for me.
So my question is:

  • do you know if you have RAK3172-SiP batches mounted with current STM32WL version (namely Version Y, “Y” is newer than “Z”…)
  • If the answer is yes, is it possible to have a specific SKU/Partnumber to buy them ?

Checking with R&D. Not sure if there was a change or if there is a changed planned.

Sorry for the delay in answering. As you can imagine we are not “producing” the SIP module by ourself, so we contacted our manufacturer.

All SIP modules are using the “Version Z” and there is no plan at this moment to change it.
